Smt. Debanjana Bhattacharjee was born on 26th November, 1995 at Silchar, Assam. She studied at Shrimanta Shankar Academy, Dispur, Assam and did her graduation in B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam (NLUJAA). She has various internships and moot court competitions to her credit. She was awarded with the Best Intern-First Prize at the Winter Internship Programme of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), New-Delhi, India in 2018. She was also a member of the team which participated in the 34th edition of the prestigious Jean-Pictet Competition at Denpasar, Indonesia, organized by the Committee for the Jean-Pictet Competition (CCJP) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She has qualified All India Bar Examination (AIBE). She joined the Tripura Judicial Service as a Grade III officer on 17th January, 2022. She is presently serving as a Civil Judge (Jr. Division) cum Judicial Magistrate 1st Class at Amarpur, Gomati Judicial District, Tripura.
